Staccato Burnout was founded through Bridges by the Syrian violinist Walid Khatba in the beginning of 2016 and has since appeared in various formations.
Walid Khatba studied music in Damascus and was a member of the Syrian National Orchestra and the Syrian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has given concerts in the Middle East and in Europe on many internationally renowned stages and at well-known festivals, most recently with the Gorillaz. For Staccato Burnout, he composes and arranges music of different styles.
Eleanna Pitsikaki, kanoon, und Hesham Hamra, oud and Youssef Laktina are currently studying world music at the Pop Academy Mannheim (University of popular music and music business) and complete the ensemble.
